Offroading fans have been turning to Ram trucks for years, with offroad-focused nameplates like the Power Wagon being offered all the way back to 1945. But there’s more to offroading than towing capacity, sometimes you want Baja-ready levels of performance. There’s a Ram for that kind of driving too, the 1500 RHO. The RHO is powered by a high-output version of the 3.0-liter Hurricane engine, and comes with tons of standard offroading equipment. The RHO boasts 11.8 inches of ground clearance and big 35-inch all-terrain tires, as well as an incredibly sophisticated suspension setup and a full set of skid plates. Inside, you’ll find the levels of comfort and even luxury that you’ve come to expect from the Ram 1500. And both the interior comfort and wild performance are the byproducts of the absolute cutting edge of automotive technology.Paragraph goes here
There are plenty of offroad vehicles out there, including several offerings just from Ram. But when you want an offroad performance vehicle, the RHO competes in a much smaller class. With noticeably more standard horsepower than a Ford F-150 Raptor or any version of the Chevy Silverado 1500, the RHO is powered by a high-output version of the 3.0-liter Hurricane I6 engine that makes 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. That power is sent to all four wheels, and a combination of a High-Speed E-Locker Rear Axle, a Bilstein® Black Hawk® e2 Shock System, and nine different drive modes gives the RHO incredibly sure footing even at high speeds. With Launch Control Mode activated, the RHO will hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds.
The Ram 1500 is rightly famous for its exceptionally high-quality interior, and the RHO offers a performance-themed and well-equipped version of this interior. You get standard 12-way power heated leather-trimmed front bucket seats, and the back seats even recline, a class-exclusive feature. The RHO comes with a 9-speaker stereo system, which is already more than most pickups, but if you’re looking for something well beyond even that, there is an available 19-Speaker Harman Kardon® system. Your passenger will be comfortable, thanks to the dual-zone climate control, and they’ll be entertained as well, with the available 10.25-inch passenger side entertainment touchscreen that even features an HDMI port for playing videos. Available dual wireless charging pads are another feature you won’t find on any competing trucks. While the fire-breathing performance of the RHO might be enough to set it apart from its rivals all by itself, it wouldn’t be a Ram without an exceptional interior.
It’s one thing to build a vehicle that goes fast on the road, but to build something that delivers consistent performance across a wide variety of changing terrain types takes a whole different kind of engineering prowess. That’s why the RHO comes with features like a Bilstein® Black Hawk® e2 Shock System, which constantly monitors and adapts to chaging speed, throttle position, braking, torque, and steering angle to make sure that you always have the best possible traction. There are nine different drive modes as well, to give the various vehicle systems an advantage in figuring out how best to handle the environment and your driving style, these are: Mud/Sand, Rock, Baja, Valet, Auto, Tow, Snow, Sport and Custom. And at the other end of the driving spectrum, when you’re just cruising on the highway, there is available Hands-Free Active Driving Assist, which lets you take your hands off the wheel, sit back a bit, and relax.
