About the Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Already known worldwide as one of the most capable off-road vehicles in automotive history, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe represents a significant leap forward by combining the benefits of electrification with go-anywhere engineering. Under the hood lies a sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain that’s ready to excel in a variety of conditions ranging from around town to on the trails. In addition to 375 combined system horsepower, the Wrangler 4xe boasts 21 miles of range in all-electric mode, 370 miles of total driving range, and a combined 49 MPGe fuel economy rating. Spending less time and money at the pump means you’ll have more time to get out and explore the path less traveled. Just like all Wrangler models, the Wrangler 4xe offers a nearly limitless list of personalization options including vibrant exterior colors and its signature removable roof. Cutting-edge connectivity features and dedicated off-road engineering place the dynamic Jeep Wrangler 4xe truly in a class of its own.

What the Critics Say

"The Wrangler's best potential fuel economy comes from the Wrangler 4xe. It has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and plug-in hybrid componentry. That combination produces 375 horsepower plus about 22 miles of all-electric range on a full battery charge. Frequently recharging can really help save on gas." — Edmunds "In the ways that count, the 4xe goes toe-to-toe with the regular Wrangler (or any other trail-ready SUV). It remains a fearsome off-roading machine, and the electric torque provides some welcome grunt. On the road, we found that the extra weight from the batteries lowers the center of gravity and makes the 4xe more stable than the conventional Wrangler." — Motortrend

What’s New For 2025

Additionally, a new Active Cabin Ventilation remote climate control start function is now offered on select trims. Last but not least, shoppers can now opt for an all-new Willys ‘41 variant that includes military-inspired design cues both inside and out.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Performance

Electrified Performance

Ready to conquer any obstacle that stands in its way, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is engineered with the same performance capabilities that’s made the model an icon. Thanks to its advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of its outstanding efficiency combined with unparalleled low-end torque that’s especially useful on the trails. This standard 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo PHEV engine boasts 375 combined system horsepower along with an astounding 475 lb-ft of torque, ready to handle whatever the situation calls for. The Wrangler 4xe is also the world’s first SUV to come equipped with locking front and rear differentials. Drivers can choose between Hybrid, Electric, and eSave drive modes based on their preferences. Hybrid is the default mode, harnessing the power of both the turbocharged engine and electric motors for maximum power. Choose Electric to enjoy up to 21 miles of pure electric driving featuring smooth acceleration and zero emissions. eSave mode is also available to store electric power for later use when you need it most.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Personalization

Limitless Personalization

One signature trait of the Jeep Wrangler is its ability to be personalized to reflect a personality as unique as your own. Fortunately, the Wrangler 4xe carries on this tradition with a nearly endless list of customization options and genuine Mopar® accessories. For example, its iconic removable roof and doors let you enjoy open-air freedom with the available Mopar® Door-Off Mirror Kit. Drivers can also opt for the clean look of a full hardtop or enjoy the best of both worlds with a Sunrider® for Hardtop. Rock out to your favorite tunes with the optional Alpine® Premium Audio System, featuring an overhead sound bar, all-weather subwoofer, and a 552-watt amplifier. Looking to enhance your ownership experience? Opt for the 4xe-exclusive Level II charger that can recharge your battery in just two hours, six times faster than a Level I charger.
